Jenny Cheshire
Jenny Cheshire is a British sociolinguist and professor at Queen Mary, University of London. Her research interests include language variation and change, especially grammatical and discourse variation, spoken English syntax and narrative analysis. She has written widely on these topics for various publications.
She is most known for her work on grammatical variation in adolescent speech. Among her publications, she has written over 6 academic books, and about 80 articles in international research journals and edited collections. Her books include:
